From 13 December 2025 to 22 February 2026, Venice hosts an unconventional exhibition: Eisfeld II – Enjoy / Survive by Olaf Nicolai, staged at Palazzo Diedo, in the heart of Cannaregio.
An exhibition experienced through the body
At the heart of Eisfeld II is a 100-square-metre ice-skating rink, installed in the frescoed hall of the piano nobile of an eighteenth-century palace. No experience is required, and it is perfect to enjoy as a couple.
Enjoy / Survive: the message behind the experience
At either end of the rink, two light boxes bearing the words ENJOY and SURVIVE accompany the experience, inviting visitors to reflect on a balance that concerns everyone.
Beyond the rink: Palazzo Diedo and contemporary art
The visit also includes site-specific works by important contemporary artists such as Urs Fischer, Carsten Höller, Mariko Mori and Hiroshi Sugimoto.
Just a short walk from the exhibition
The hotel is just a short and pleasant walk from Palazzo Diedo, right in the heart of Cannaregio. If you are planning your stay in Venice during the exhibition period, book directly here.
